  1. Wash clothes in cold water
  2. Install a programmable thermostat
  3. Use curtains to block the hot sun or to allow warm rays
  4. Turn off lights, appliances and electronics not in use
  5. Use a power strip to turn off multiple items at once
  6. Change to new and improved light bulbs
  7. Look for the Energy Star label
  8. Use a special “blanket” on your water tank
  9. Weather seal windows
  10. Turn the heat down at night and when you’re not home
