State enviro agency refuses to do its job & sides with Entergy!

What’s up with that?!!!!!

Even though Entergy’s own reports and data say that Pilgrim’s once-through cooling system destroys marine life in Cape Cod Bay, the state agency responsible under federal law for protecting the Bay is siding with the Louisiana-based company and saying “no problem”!

The state Coastal Zone Management Agency, under state Secretary of Energy and Environmental Affairs Rick Sullivan sided with Entergy in a May 21 letter responding to local groups concerns.  The groups asked CZMA to revoke its bogus 2006 approval for the NRC’s relicensing of Pilgrim.

After being bullied by Entergy’s lawyers, the state CZMA sided with Entergy and refuses to revoke the bogus approval.

On June 15, 2012, the groups asked Sullivan’s shop to reconsider its illegal decision to stick by Entergy.  Read the letter here.  Revoke Entergy Approval Letter

Entergy-Lousy-ana, the Swamp Rat, will make $7.3 billion in revenue in 20 years off Pilgrim under its new license from its lapdog the NRC.  Yet, state regulators refuse to make this greedy corporation clean up its act and put in a less destructive cooling water system.

What’s a Swamp Rat doing in Plymouth?6/2012

Tell Secretary Sullivan that CZM should do its job and protect Cape Cod Bay, not Entergy’s pocketbook!!
